| Look beyond the less than distinctive styling and you'll find a competent high-quality range of cars. There are some very efficient petrol and diesel engines, which for the company car driver put it into the lower tax bands. You also get a lot of standard equipment for the money, and the overall package is very well put together with good quality materials and construction. That means that refinement levels are excellent, with quiet engines and only the slightest level of road noise sneaking into the cabin. The interior is one of the largest in the medium family sector, with plenty of cubby holes and storage options. It easily accommodates four to five adults without any of them feeling the pinch. Drivers have a comfortable seat which is easily adjustable. Avensis looks after its occupants, too, thanks to an excellent crash test rating and a large number of standard safety features. |
